Our Infant/Toddler Routine
While infants often follow their own schedules and we are sensitive to their individual needs, they often times fall into this schedule around the fourth month of age. Following a regular routine gives infants and toddlers stability and security, helps them develop trust and independence, and promotes healthy growth and development. Generally, parents can expect:
Arrival – 7:30 quiet playtime
7:30 – 8:30 bottles/breakfast
8:30 – 10:00 morning naptime
(Older toddlers who are not napping engage in free play and exploration with stories, games, art activities, and a mini group time)
Free play, reading, enrichment activities
(Songs, finger plays, exploring musical instruments, balls, etc.)
10:30 – 11:30 bottles/lunch
story time/music
12:15 – 2:45 quiet time
3:00 – 4:00 bottles/snack
free play until departure**
**Free play consists of your child’s choice of activities in various learning areas such as developmentally appropriate toys and physical activity, board books, balls, sensory activities, etc. and outside play. For ages 3 months to 2.5 years or until interested in preschool activities
